Katy Trail Bike Tours - 2012
Enjoy a great multiple day cycling experience on Missouri’s Katy Trail – a 225 mile / 8 foot wide state park running from western Missouri to the St. Louis Metro area at St. Charles. The trail is well maintained with a crushed limestone surface and is very suitable for inn-to-inn cycling tours. Our St. Charles shuttle pickup point is easily accessible by car from I-70 and for flyers the St. Louis Airport is only a 20-minute taxi ride away.
The Independent Tourist offers five self-guided bike tours (tours #10 - #14) on the Katy Trail with optional distances ranging from three days and 77 miles to seven days and 225 miles. The Katy Trail is a linear route. Our tours primarily ride eastbound and a shuttle is provided at the beginning or end of each tour. Custom tours are also available.
The Katy Trail uses the original mileage markers from the railroad days beginning with the current eastern terminus at MM 39.5.
